Eligibility
Veterans rated 50% or higher are placed in Priority Group 1, giving access to the full range of VA healthcare services with no copays for any care, tests, or medications.
Covers
All medical, surgical, and mental health care — including conditions that are NOT service-connected. Includes prescriptions, preventive care, urgent care, and emergency care.
Dental and vision are NOT automatically included (separate eligibility rules apply).
How to enroll
Veterans rated 50%+ do not need to enroll to receive care, but enrollment is recommended. Submit VA Form 10-10EZ if not already enrolled.
