Eligibility

Must be rated 100% disabled (schedular or TDIU), OR be a former POW, OR have a service-connected dental condition. Important: Temporary 100% ratings such as those for convalescence (38 CFR 4.30) or prestabilization do NOT qualify for this benefit; the 100% rating must be a stabilized schedular or TDIU rating. Note: Permanent & Total (P&T) status is NOT required — any stabilized 100% rating qualifies.

Covers

Full range of dental services including cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, dentures, and implants.

How to access

Contact the dental clinic at your local VA Medical Center. Some VAMCs have dental clinics on-site; others refer to community dental providers through the Community Care program.

No copays for eligible veterans.

Always confirm current rates and rules on VA.gov before applying — eligibility rules and dollar amounts change with each fiscal year.
