Eligibility
Must be a Texas resident and a veteran with honorable service (at least 90 days active duty unless discharged for service-connected disability).
Terms
Up to $200,000 for individual veterans ($275,000 for two eligible veteran spouses purchasing together), 5% minimum down payment, 30-year fixed rate.
Land requirements
Minimum 1 acre. Land must be surveyed, have legal access, and be in Texas.
How to apply
Apply online at the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) website or call 1-800-252-VETS. You will need DD-214, proof of Texas residency, and credit approval.
