What Disabled Veteran License Plates covers
Benefits
DV license plate ($3 first-set fee), waiver of most registration fees on one vehicle. Additional DV plates allowed on extra vehicles, but registration and local fees apply to those.
TxDOT toll exemption is included automatically when DV plates are displayed — no separate enrollment needed. (Other state-issued plates also qualify for the TxDOT toll exemption: Medal of Honor, Purple Heart, Air Force Cross, Distinguished Service Cross, Navy Cross, Legion of Valor.)
