About this benefit
Eligibility
Children ages 16-23. Parent must be an honorably discharged veteran with 100% permanent war-service-connected disability, OR who died from war-service-connected disability, OR who served on active duty after Jan. 31, 1955 and is listed as MIA or POW.
Residency
5-year Pennsylvania residency required.
Financial
Demonstrated financial need required.
School
Child must be enrolled in a PA educational institution.
Amount
$500 per term/semester. Cap is 8 terms/semesters total (NOT "up to 4 academic years" as previously stated โ the cap is on terms regardless of how they map to years). Maximum $4,000.
