Eligibility

Child aged 16-26; parent was a veteran who was a NM resident at time of entry into Armed Forces; parent was killed in action or died as a result of wounds during a period of armed conflict. Also covers children of NM National Guard members killed while on state active duty.

Covers

Full tuition waiver at any NM state-funded post-secondary school plus a $150 stipend per semester (up to $300 annually) to help with books or fees. NM DVS page additionally describes up to $300 annually for room, board, books, and supplies — verify current scope with NM DVS before relying.
