Eligibility
Domiciled (home of record) in Massachusetts for at least 6 months immediately before entering the military (or before activation for Reserve/Guard). Served during a wartime period or participated in a combat operation. Discharge under honorable conditions. Out-of-state students or out-of-state active-duty stationed in MA do NOT qualify. Family members of deceased veterans may also be eligible.
Available bonuses include
Global War on Terrorism "Welcome Home" Bonus (post-9/11), COVID-19 Bonus, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal Bonus, Persian Gulf War, Vietnam, Korean War, and WWII bonuses.
Covers
GWOT bonus: $1,000 for active duty in Iraq/Afghanistan; $500 for 6+ months active service stateside or outside continental U.S. Other bonus amounts vary by conflict. Processing: 4-6 weeks.
