About this benefit
Eligibility
Veteran with 100% VA service-connected disability rating; OR Gold Star Parent; OR Gold Star (surviving) spouse. Discharge under conditions other than dishonorable. Must be a Massachusetts resident. Applications must be received by EOVS by June 30.
Covers
$2,500 per year, paid as a single annual payment in August beginning August 2025 (transition: a $1,250 partial payment was issued in February 2025). Increased from $2,000 under the HERO Act -- the first increase in 17 years.
