How to apply for Free Camping for Former Prisoners of War
How to apply
Forward to the Kentucky Department of Parks either a copy of your separation form from military service, or a letter from one of the military forces or the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, together with written proof of Kentucky residence. The Department then mails the veteran a card certifying exemption from the fees. Present the card at the park. The Kentucky State Parks "Deals" page also states Kentucky POWs camp for free with a POW card issued by Veterans Affairs, shown at check-in.
