About this benefit
Eligibility
Member of the Wyoming National Guard in good standing, eligible for reenlistment/continued service, and have completed Basic Training or OCS. Must reapply each term and maintain a 2.0 GPA.
Covers
100% of resident-rate tuition and mandatory fees at UW, Wyoming community colleges, and the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy. For private institutions, pays the average of UW and community college tuition. Members can pursue up to TWO educational goals (certificate, associate, bachelor's, master's, JD, or PhD), with a 10-year completion window per program. Transferable to a college-aged dependent under specific requirements.
Service obligation
First degree requires a 6-year Guard commitment + 2 years after final benefit use. Second degree requires completion of the first commitment plus an additional 4-year obligation. All service must be in actively drilling status.
