About this benefit

Eligibility

Washington domiciliary (resident). Active or reserve member of U.S. military or National Guard called to active duty. Must have served in active federal service (Title 10 or Title 32) in a war or conflict on foreign soil, in international waters, or in support thereof. If discharged, must have a qualifying (honorable) discharge.

Covers

State universities and community/technical colleges are authorized to waive all or a portion of tuition and fees. Each institution sets its own program details. A $500/year textbook stipend may also be available if funded by the legislature.
