Same as VA National Cemetery eligibility (honorable discharge from qualifying service). No South Dakota residency requirement.

Free grave site or columbaria niche, grave liner, headstone/niche cover/memorial marker, and perpetual care. Spouse/dependent burial is $1,002 (subject to change; cannot be prepaid).
How to apply
At time of need, funeral director or next of kin contacts the cemetery. Must provide DD-214 or discharge documentation.
