About this benefit
Eligibility
Oregon resident veteran as defined in ORS 408.225. Since 2024 expansion (HB 2271), veterans not eligible for GI Bill also qualify. Must be enrolled in an approved program (university, community college, HECC-licensed career school, BOLI-registered apprenticeship, or public employer OJT). Can also be used to pay off student account debt preventing registration.
