About this benefit
Eligibility
Child of a U.S. military service member officially declared Prisoner of War (POW) or Missing in Action (MIA) after January 1, 1960. Child must be ages 16-21 at application. Child must be a NJ resident for 1+ year before applying. Parent must have been a NJ resident at time of entry into service.
Covers
Free undergraduate tuition at NJ public OR private institutions of higher education. Does NOT cover room, board, fees, books, or other expenses.
How to apply
Contact the NJ Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA) for certification of eligibility. Then present the DMAVA certification letter to the financial aid office.
