Eligibility

Served in Afghanistan (on/after Oct 24, 2001) or Iraq (on/after Mar 19, 2003) conflicts. Veteran, active duty, or eligible dependent (spouse, child, stepchild). Maryland resident enrolled at a Maryland postsecondary institution.

No disability rating required.

Award capped at 50% of tuition+fees+room/board at the most-expensive USM institution (2025-26 max: $8,699 on-campus / $5,637 off-campus / $5,067 with parents).

Apply via MDCAPS (mdcaps.mhec.state.md.us); 2025-26 cycle Apr 15, 2025 through Apr 1, 2026 with rolling review.
