About this benefit
Eligibility
Veteran or service member injured in the line of duty in a hazardous duty pay area after September 11, 2001. Injury must have been serious enough to require medical evacuation to a military hospital, OR required at least 30 consecutive days of hospitalization. Iowa resident.
Covers
Up to $10,000 in grants (paid in $2,500 increments) for family travel and support during recovery.
