Honorably discharged veteran (including from Reserve Forces or National Guard) physically residing in Florida while enrolled in a Florida public postsecondary institution. Veterans using VA educational assistance (including transferred Post-9/11 GI Bill) qualify with a VA Certificate of Eligibility. Active-duty members are covered by separate provisions, not this waiver: active-duty members residing or stationed outside Florida get an out-of-state fee waiver under s. 1009.26(14), and active-duty members residing or stationed in Florida and active drilling Florida National Guard members are classified as Florida residents for tuition purposes.
