Active duty completed initial obligation, or discharged/released under conditions other than dishonorable. Served in U.S. armed forces, reserves, Public Health Service, NOAA, or as a cadet at a military academy. Must close within 25 years of discharge date. For owner-occupied single-family residence. Veterans must meet AHFC "State Vet" income limits to qualify for the rate reduction.

1% interest rate reduction on the first $50,000 of the loan amount. Fixed interest rate. The rate preference cannot be combined with the AHFC Veterans Mortgage Program itself; it may be combined with a VA loan guarantee or PMI on AHFC programs other than the Veterans Mortgage Program.
