Up to $3,000/year for 2 years for unemployed or underemployed veterans being retrained.

Eligibility
Must have experienced involuntary job loss (not due to misconduct) within 1 year before application. Must have been employed 6+ consecutive months with same employer or in same/similar occupation. Underemployment qualifies if annual employment income falls below federal poverty guidelines following an involuntary income reduction within the preceding year. Must be enrolled in a technical education program or structured on-the-job training completable within 2 years. Four-year college or university programs do NOT qualify.
Covers
Up to $3,000/year for a maximum of 2 years, based on financial need. Cannot be combined with other WDVA education benefits during the same period. Veterans may receive up to 2 grants total (not consecutively in the same year).
