Eligibility

Served in any branch of U.S. Armed Forces, including National Guard. Honorable discharge (or VA-benefit-eligible). Washington state resident. Spouses, surviving spouses (widows/widowers), and Gold Star parents who lost a child in service are also eligible.

Covers

24-hour nursing care, medical care, pharmacy services, physical/occupational therapy, recreational activities, social services, hospice, meals, laundry, and transportation at four state-run facilities: Washington Soldiers Home (Orting), Washington Veterans Home (Port Orchard/Retsil), Spokane Veterans Home, and Walla Walla Veterans Home. Payment accepted through Medicare, Medicaid, third-party insurance, and private pay. Veterans rated 70-100% service-connected may have nursing care covered by federal VA.
