Eligibility
Served in any branch of U.S. Armed Forces, including National Guard. Honorable discharge. Washington state resident. Spouses, surviving spouses, and Gold Star parents are also eligible.
Covers
24-hour skilled nursing care at four state-run facilities (Orting, Port Orchard/Retsil, Spokane, Walla Walla). All are Medicare and Medicaid certified. There is a cost for care, but it is subsidized and depends on level of care and ability to pay.
