Eligibility
Veteran with one of the following: DD Form 214 (or equivalent separation document) showing honorable discharge, general discharge under honorable conditions, or other than honorable discharge with VA benefits eligibility; U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs identification card; Next Generation Uniformed Services ID (Retired); or letter from Washington Department of Veterans Affairs.
Benefit
The VETERAN designation itself is free, though standard licensing fees may still apply for renewals, new licenses, or endorsements. Can serve as proof of veteran status for discounts and services.
