About this benefit
Eligibility
Washington state resident. Veteran with 30% or greater combined service-connected disability rating (verified by VA award letter). Honorable discharge.
Covers
Free day-use parking at all state parks (replaces Discover Pass, normally $30/year), free camping, free moorage, free boat launch and trailer dump. As of October 1, 2025, also accepted at DNR and WDFW lands in lieu of Discover Pass.
Note
As of October 2025, veteran pass holders must pay campsite reservation fees (camping itself remains free).
