Overview

Eligibility (Veterans): Served in the armed forces. Served more than 180 consecutive days of active duty. Honorable or general discharge. Must be a DC resident.

Eligibility (Spouses): DC resident. Spouse of a disabled veteran with 30%+ VA disability rating.

Covers

Allows DC government agencies to non-competitively hire eligible veterans and their spouses for time-limited Career Service appointments at Grade 12 and below. Participants may later compete for permanent positions.
