Eligibility

Service members/veterans who, within the past 12 months, were employed in a military position requiring operation of a vehicle equivalent to a CMV; must have operated such a vehicle for at least 2 years immediately preceding discharge and have been exempt from CDL requirements under 49 C.F.R. 383.3(c).

Important to know

Knowledge (written) tests are NOT waived. School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) endorsements cannot be transferred under this waiver.
