About this benefit
Eligibility
Child, stepchild, or surviving spouse of: a VT National Guard member killed after 1955 or who died after Jan. 1, 2001 on duty; a VT-resident Reserve member who died after Jan. 1, 2001 on duty; or an active-duty member who died after Jan. 1, 2001. Must be enrolled in an approved Vermont postsecondary program. Not eligible if already holding a bachelor's degree. Pell Grant amounts are deducted.
