Eligibility

Currently active duty, reserves, National Guard, or discharged with an honorable or general discharge; legal U.S. citizen/resident living in Harris County (felony program extends to contiguous counties); eligible for VA services; with a mental health disorder and/or substance abuse issue affecting the case. Felony cases exclude 3G offenses other than aggravated assault; misdemeanor cases require District Attorney approval and the criminal behavior must be service connected (as determined by VA).
