Honorable discharge from qualifying military service. SD resident at any time in the five years before the date of application. Income must not exceed $1,000 above the VA Pension rate. Spouses must have been married and living together with the veteran for at least one year before application. Surviving spouses must be at least 60 years old and have been married to the veteran for at least one year before death.
