Eligibility
Honorably discharged veterans who served on active duty AND are U.S. citizens, per SDCL 33A-2. Service-connected disabled veterans receive priority over non-disabled veterans. Unmarried surviving spouses and spouses of disabled veterans unable to exercise their preference may also qualify.
