Eligibility
Honorably discharged veterans receive +5 points on civil service exam. Disabled war veterans receive +10 points. Veterans with VA disability rating of 30% or more receive Absolute Preference (placed at top of hiring register). All honorably discharged veterans receive guaranteed interviews for matched state executive branch positions through the Office of Veterans Placement.
Note
Oklahoma also has the Voluntary Veterans' Preference Employment Policy Act (Title 40, Section 801) authorizing private employers to adopt veteran hiring preferences.
