Eligibility
Any veteran who served on active duty and was discharged under conditions other than dishonorable; proof of NJ legal residence is required. Eligible spouses and dependent children may also be interred.

Gravesite, opening and closing of the grave, a government-furnished headstone or marker, and perpetual care — all at no cost.

New Jersey operates ONE state veterans cemetery — BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 14 Chesterfield-Arneytown Rd, Wrightstown, NJ 08562 (in the Arneytown section of North Hanover Township, Burlington County).
How to apply
Pre-need (advance) or at-need (time of death) applications are accepted. Contact the NJ Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMAVA) or the cemetery directly. Provide DD-214, death certificate (at-need), and completed interment request form.
