Eligibility

Veterans discharged under honorable conditions. Post-9/7/1980 veterans must have at least 24 months active duty. NH residency is NOT required for the veteran. Eligible spouses and dependent children may also be interred.

Covers

Free burial plot and free government headstone for the veteran. NH-resident Selected Reserve veterans: no fee. NH-resident eligible dependents and NH-resident Selected Reserve dependents: $450 interment fee (covers grave site, opening/closing, engraved headstone or niche marker, and perpetual care). Non-NH-resident Selected Reserve veterans and dependents: $1,050 per interment.
