Details
Eligibility
Veterans who served on active duty (not active duty for training), discharged honorable or general under honorable conditions. Must be a Nebraska resident. Also available to spouses and dependents. Must demonstrate an emergency disrupting normal living and show other resources are not immediately available.
Covers
Food, fuel, shelter, transportation, daycare, wearing apparel, funeral expenses, medical and surgical items. Amounts determined case-by-case.
How to apply
Through a County Veterans Service Officer, Post Service Officer of a recognized VSO, or (as of September 3, 2025) a State Service Officer.
