Details

Eligibility

Veterans (as defined under Nebraska law), spouses of 100% disabled veterans, spouses of veterans killed in the line of duty or who died from service, and spouses of service members on active duty or discharged within the past 180 days. Must submit DD-214 (Member Form #4) and disability/marriage documentation at time of application.

How it works

Veterans receive a 5% point preference on state employment scoring; disabled veterans receive a 10% point preference. These points are added to passing examination scores.
