Eligibility

Montana resident who has been awarded a Purple Heart, regardless of age. Nonresident Purple Heart awardees also qualify, but only during expeditions arranged for the nonresident by a nonprofit organization that uses fishing and hunting as part of the rehabilitation of disabled veterans.

Coverage

Recipients may fish and hunt game birds (not including wild turkeys) with the purchase of a conservation license and an aquatic invasive species (AIS) prevention pass — a resident AIS prevention pass for residents, a nonresident AIS prevention pass for nonresidents.
