Details

Eligibility

Honorably discharged veteran (resident or nonresident) with service-connected disability rating of 60% or greater, former POW, or those currently assigned as a patient to a Warrior Transition Brigade, Warrior Transition Unit, or military medical center. Must carry a letter from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.

Covers fishing without a permit and hunting (but not trapping) of wildlife without a permit.

Exceptions

deer, turkey, elk, black bear, and migratory birds still require separate permits. Federal Duck Stamp and Missouri Migratory Bird Hunting Permit still required for waterfowl. A trout permit is still required to keep trout outside a trout park or to fish in the upper portion of Lake Taneycomo.
