About this benefit
Eligibility
90 consecutive days of active duty service, at least one day during wartime; OR 180 days regular active service; OR served during a campaign and received the Purple Heart or a service-connected disability. Honorable discharge. Must be a Massachusetts resident.
Covers
Residential and long-term care including extended care, units for cognitive impairment, and various levels of skilled nursing. Costs are subsidized; residents may contribute based on ability to pay.
