Who is eligible
Eligibility
Massachusetts residents who are blind or intellectually disabled qualify for a free freshwater fishing license; residents with paraplegia qualify for a free sporting (fishing and hunting) license. Nonresident service members stationed in MA can purchase licenses at resident prices.
Important to know
First-time applicants must submit a Certificate of Blindness from the MA Commission for the Blind, or a Physician Certification Form. Paraplegic applicants must also submit a Hunter Education Certificate or prior hunting license.
