Overview
Eligibility (per KRS 18A.150): Veterans who served in an active or reserve component of the U.S. Armed Forces and received Honorable or General (Under Honorable Conditions) discharge; currently serving active or reserve component members; spouses of eligible veterans or current service members; unremarried surviving spouses of deceased veterans; and dependent parents of disabled or deceased veterans. Wartime service is not required. Must meet minimum requirements for the position. Applies only to initial appointment to competitive classified positions.
