Eligibility

(1) Honorably discharged veteran eligible for IDVA Medical Center care and meeting Iowa residency requirements; must have disease, wounds, advanced age, or inability to earn a livelihood. (2) Spouses/surviving spouses, if married to the veteran for at least 1 year before application and meeting Iowa residency. (3) Gold Star Parents (parents of a service member who died while serving in the U.S. military). Cost coverage available for veterans rated 70%+ disabled.
