Who is eligible
Eligibility
Honorably discharged veteran (no wartime service requirement). Must have resided in Indiana for at least 12 months prior to admission (waivers possible). A criminal background check is required as part of the admission process. Spouses and surviving spouses of honorably discharged veterans are eligible if they were married to the veteran for at least 5 years and the marriage did not end in divorce. Gold Star parents have been eligible since 2018.
