Eligibility
Any Indiana veteran with a discharge other than dishonorable (state-level rule, broader than VA national cemetery eligibility). Indiana National Guard/Reservists who die while serving also covered. Surviving spouse and dependent children under 21 (or permanently disabled dependents) also eligible. Must be an Indiana resident.
Covers
Burial at the state veterans cemetery in Madison (1415 North Gate Rd.). Each county auditor may pay up to $100 for veteran burial expenses and up to $100 for setting a federal headstone.
