Details

Eligibility

Child of a veteran with a service-connected disability (or who died of service-connected causes). For veterans who enlisted before July 1, 2011: child receives 100% tuition exemption. For veterans who enlisted on or after July 1, 2011: if the parent has an 80% or higher VA disability rating the child receives 100% exemption; otherwise the exemption equals 20% plus the veteran's VA disability percentage (e.g., 50% rating = 70% exemption). Child must be an Indiana resident, complete FAFSA, and enroll at an Indiana public college/university (or up to $5,000/year at a private nonprofit Indiana institution for HS class 2023+). Veteran parent must have honorable discharge.

Covers

Up to 100% of tuition and regularly assessed fees at the undergraduate resident rate for up to 124 credit hours over 8 academic years.
