About this benefit
Eligibility
Honorably discharged veteran with at least 1 day of active duty during a USDVA-recognized war period (not training). Illinois residency required. Wartime veterans and those retired for service-connected disability get priority. Surviving spouses eligible at Anna and Quincy homes.
Cost
$1,720/month maintenance charge (income-based). Veterans with a 70-100% service-connected disability rating do NOT pay a monthly maintenance charge. Inability to pay does not prevent admission.
