Eligibility

Per Fla. Stat. 320.084, honorably discharged veteran who is a Florida resident for the 5 years immediately preceding application (or has established domicile under s. 222.17) AND meets one of: vehicle purchased with VA financial assistance, 100% service-connected disability rating from VA, or receives 100% disability retirement pay from any armed service branch.

What Free DV License Plate and Vehicle Registration covers

Covers

One free "DV" license plate and free initial validation sticker per eligible veteran. Plate may be transferred to another vehicle owned by the veteran. Sales tax exemption (under s. 212.08) applies separately only to vehicles adapted for the veteran's service-connected disability (VA-adapted vehicles), not all vehicles with DV plates.
