Coverage

Up to $40,000 in increments of $10,000.

Premiums

Based on age at application and coverage amount; locked in for life and never increase. Guaranteed acceptance with no medical underwriting. There is a 2-year waiting period for full coverage. If the veteran dies during the waiting period, the beneficiary receives premiums paid plus interest. Note: VALife does not offer premium waivers (unlike the older S-DVI program).
