About this benefit
Eligibility
Honorably discharged veteran (or released under honorable conditions, i.e. General discharge) who served at least 90 cumulative days of active duty during a period of war (unless separated earlier due to service-connected disability). Must be accepted at a CT public college or university. Also extends to dependent children or surviving spouses of service members killed in action on or after 9/11/2001, and dependent children of MIA/POW after 1/1/1960.
Covers
CT State University campuses: 100% tuition waiver (fall/spring), 50% (summer/intersession). CT Community Colleges: full tuition waiver for full- or part-time study (not summer/intersession/extension). Charter Oak State College: 50% course fee waiver. Also covers graduate programs at eligible institutions. Does NOT cover books, fees, parking, or room and board.

Apply through the admissions/veterans affairs office at the institution with DD-214.
