Overview

Eligibility (per ct.edu/admission/veterans): Honorably discharged or released under honorable conditions; served at least 90 cumulative days of active duty during wartime (exceptions for VA-rated service-connected disability or operations lasting less than 90 days); accepted to a CT public institution; domiciled in Connecticut at time of acceptance. Also extends to active CT Army/Air National Guard members, dependents and surviving spouses of service members killed in action after 9/11/2001, and dependent children of MIA/POW since 1960.

Covers

State Universities — 100% tuition waiver for credit courses, 50% course fee waiver for summer/intersession. Community Colleges — full tuition waiver for regular credit study (excludes summer/intersession). Charter Oak State College — 50% course fee waiver for matriculated veterans. Waiver covers tuition only, NOT books, fees, parking, or room and board. Waivers may be reduced by employer education reimbursement.

Apply through the admissions/veterans affairs office at the institution with DD-214.
