Eligibility

5-point preference for any person honorably discharged from active duty (other than training only) with the U.S. Armed Forces, OR any person who served honorably in the National Guard or reserves for at least 6 years. Also available to the unmarried surviving spouse of a deceased veteran.

10-point preference for veterans with a VA service-connected disability, OR veterans over age 55 who are disabled and entitled to a pension/compensation, OR the spouse of a veteran whose disability disqualifies the veteran from employment.
