About this benefit
Overview
Eligibility (Tier 1): Former U.S. Armed Forces member who was an AZ resident or stationed in AZ at time of injury; received Purple Heart; VA disability rating of 50% or more.
Also covers (Tier 2): Unremarried surviving spouse or child (up to age 30) of an AZ National Guard member or Armed Forces member who was an AZ resident or stationed in AZ and was killed in the line of duty.
Also covers (Tier 3): Current AZ National Guard member who received a Purple Heart on or after 9/11/2001 in response to a Governor-declared state of emergency.
Also covers (Tier 4): Former AZ National Guard member medically discharged due to injury or disability incurred in the line of duty.

Full tuition waiver for undergraduate degree at any Arizona public university (ASU, UA, NAU) or community college. Covers tuition only — not books, fees, parking, room/board. Can be used concurrently with federal GI Bill.
