About this benefit
Eligibility
Honorably discharged veteran with minimum 90 days active service (at least 1 day during a wartime period). Post-9/7/1980 enlistees need 24 continuous months or full period of call-up. Must have been an Alabama resident for the immediate past 12 months. Must meet VA criteria for skilled nursing care. Not eligible if on Sex Offender Registry or in felony fugitive status.
