About this benefit
Eligibility
(a) Veteran with honorable or under-honorable-conditions discharge AND 100% permanent and total service-connected VA disability rating, OR (b) veteran receiving VA Specially Adapted Housing benefits (38 USC 2101), OR (c) unremarried surviving spouse (including KIA cases). Must own and occupy the property as a permanent residence. No income limit.

How to apply
Complete Form NCDVA-9 (Sections 1-2 by veteran, certified by a NCVSO/DMVA service officer), then submit along with Form AV-9 to your county tax assessor's office by June 1.
